A still from the movie Oblivion.

The effort to curb the number of cases to flatten the curve is an ongoing effort. The common citizens are hoping that a lift on lockdown will bring some ease back to normal life.

The reality is that lockdowns across the countries were imposed as an initial measure to stop the spread of virus from travels and reduce the volume of cases coming into the hospitals so that they can take the load.

Once the medicare system stabalizes so that it can start taking in other cases, the lift on lockdown will be partial.
There will always be screenings across all borders, districts, your hometown, international borders et al.

Hospitals have started piling up stocks of logistics on warfooting to prepare for the next wave of cases.

Hospitals in most emerging economies are keeping track of their resources on paper, on registries.

While most "branded" hospitals have their own hi-tech systems for hospital resource management, it is not the case with 70% of India.

For the next 18 months, we will see many partial lockdowns, civil unrest, stockpiling and an evolving society.

The new normal is Remote, Cashless, Contactless, Digital society. Fintech will drive this.

People will come to realize that in such apocalyptic circumstances, it is doctors and engineers saving lives. Societies will be more open to acknowleding that it is the Software, the tech that rules the world as they rely on it now more than ever before.

People will grow their own gardens, they will invest more time in themselves, they will be able to find new ways to be creative and grow themselves.

Crimes will drop. Corruption may too. Fintech will rise up for a digital society. AI will become inevitable.
